Why this tool exists
Converting a van means endless measuring, sketching and doubting: will the bed fit crosswise, is there enough room underneath, will that overhead cabinet hit the sloping wall? Mistakes often only show up once the wood is cut.
My Campervan answers those questions up front. The load area of every van is modelled at factory dimensions, with wheel arches, sloping walls and door openings, so you see what really fits before you buy materials.
What is live today
- 22 vans at factory dimensions, from Fiat Ducato, Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter, Ford Transit, Renault Master and Iveco Daily to VW Transporter, Ford Transit Custom, Renault Trafic and Opel Vivaro, plus their sister models (114 versions, L1H1 to L5H4).
- Layout templates that adapt to your van: transverse bed, half dinette, bathroom, French bed, twin long beds, bunk bed, lift bed and more.
- Collision checks: overlaps, through the wall, against the ceiling or in the sliding door opening, with how many millimetres it is off.
- Power: daily consumption, how long the battery lasts, charging from solar, alternator and shore power, plus cable size and fuses per connection.
- Water: litres per day, how long the tank lasts, water heater, pump and plumbing.
- Weight: load per axle and the payload you have left.
- Camper requirements for the Netherlands, Germany and Austria, showing what your layout still lacks.
- Day and night with lighting and shadows, convertible furniture, and an exportable parts list with dimensions and weights.
- Your account: designs are saved and open on any device.
Who is behind it
My Campervan is built and maintained by Jeremy Burgers in the Netherlands. We develop the tool together with self-builders: we read every question, idea and wrong measurement in your van and work it in.
